I want candy!

Braden with his friend Connor the frog

So we're just going to change the name from Halloween to National Candy Day! I've never seen so much candy in my life, and I have never seen my child so happy! He was a skeleton for his school pajama party, and tonight he was the cutest little fireman I've ever seen! I had to really reason with him to get him to say, "thank you," instead of, "more, please!" Hope everyone had a safe night! Let me know if you need any candy!

Big boy underwear!

I hope it's legal to post pictures of your child in his underwear on the internet! Anyway, don't let his happy face fool you ...... 10 minutes later, I decided neither of us are ready. Back to the pull-ups ..... and the drycleaners with my dry clean only bed spread!

We don't need no stinkin dad!

Well, we are in no short supply of good male role models for Braden. There's no doubt that this one ranks number 1, however! This is our "Jeeps," and Braden thinks he hung the moon! Even after he dumped Braden off of his shoulders into the grass Friday night, he still got up and wanted his Jeeps! Figures ...

Friends Forever

"Open up, Will! This is the best cake you'll ever taste!"

This is Braden with one of his best buds, Will. Will and his family are moving away to Houston soon. Even though Braden is too young to be as sad as his Momma is, we are losing some really great friends when this family leaves Tulsa! I use to work with Will's mom, and we try to keep true to our tradition of eating at Olive Garden as regularly as we can now with 3 kids between us! We vaguely remember the days we use to sit at a table for 2! We hope Mandie figures this blog thing out so we can keep up with them when they leave! (hint, hint!) We love you guys!

Cookie Art

So we graduated from drawing on walls with pens to drawing on the kitchen table with oreos and milk! This is art that I can handle! I didn't get a picture of the finished artwork, but it was good enough to eat!

Amber: "Braden, why are your hands in your cup?"
Braden: "I washin' my hands, Momma!"

Weeeeeeeeeeeee!

Weeeeeeee is all I hear from behind me as I'm letting the dog pull me on her leash while trying to maneuver my way through my new neighborhood with this 50lb wagon full of child behind me. I did the natural mother thing, and I ignored it for a bit. When I looked back, this is what I saw behind me. DHS is a door knock away, I'm sure!

Paws in the Park

Who's walking who here?!

So today, Braden and Kami went to Paws in the Park at Tulsa's Riverwalk. They had so much fun. We've never seen so many dogs! Momma got a new Tshirt and Kami got a bag full of new goodies! Braden got a sucker and kisses from almost every breed of dog known to man!

The artist shows off his work

So this picture is hard to see, but that is Braden showing off his artwork. Yes, the walls of my new house are his canvas! An artist knows no boundaries. This was mere hours after he did Grammy the same favor at her house with a red Sharpie marker (as she was signing papers selling her house!) He just wanted to leave his mark!

Homeowners!

FINALLY!
Braden and I for the first time in his short little life are living ALONE! It's official, I'm all grown up now! Braden and I are so happy in our new home. Braden loves that he is just minutes away from his Grammy and Jeeps' house! Jeeps already started his list of home improvement projects .... no complaints here! For those of you who can't visit .... it's 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath,
2 car garage, and a HUGE backyard! Wish you all could see it!

Amber and Braden's new BLOG!

Ok, so here we go! The WONDERFUL photographer that took our pictures last weekend totally inspired me to start blogging! Though I'm not going to be as good at it as she is, I figured this would be a great way to send you all pictures without having to mess with my attachments on my email! This will be a fun/creative way for me to keep up with our great memories without spending money at the scrapbooking store! (Sorry, Kara!) Anyway, so I thought I'd start with the pictures that Alicia took of us this weekend. We were in Bentonville, Arkansas, and she used her creativity to catch us in a few "candid" moments. Stay tuned ...
