Lucy - 2, Pesky moles - 0!

That's right .... she's hunting moles! This was the second one she caught this week. I scooped it up with the pooper scooper (with some poop - sorry!) and it was still alive! My mom had to coach me over the phone on how it was ok to finish of the job because I was putting it out of it's misery. So ... I smacked it in the head. Ugh! I couldn't even bring myself to take a picture of the huge holes in my yard, but I'm sure you could use your imagination!

Holy Squash!

HaHa .... oops! So I missed a couple of squash this weekend while I was busy running around! Look at that thing! And look at the siamese twin squash! My mom acted like this was no freak of nature and it happens all the time ... I think it's totally rad, and I don't want to eat it! Anyway, enjoy some pictures. See, I really do grow food successfully!

Bye Bye Binky ..... and an ugly old kitchen!

So we finally did it! I told Braden when he turned three we would have to say bye bye to the beloved binky, and he did so well! He took it to school and gave it to the babies! He thought he was doing them such a great favor that he hasn't really asked for it until tonight. We talked about how awesome it was for him to give it to someone that needed it, and that seemed to "pacify" him! Ha No pun intended! Ok, maybe I intended it a little. Anyway, here's his last picture with his good friend ....
We spent last night at Phyllis' house watching her crew! It was exhausting, rewarding, and a bit eye-opening. I learned a few things

1. Always check the freezer before you buy 5 popsicles from the icecream man

2. check the baby to see if she's wet BEFORE you pick her up and wrap your arms around her

3. point the FULL baby away from your face when you are burping her when she is a known spewer

4. I must really LOVE Phyllis!

5. Make sure your backup (Christi) doesn't have a stomach virus before you invite her over! (sorry I made you clean up your own vomit! I love you!)

6. You can never get enough Spongebob - thank God for Spongebob marathon weekend!

Another little bit of info on our lives ..... my Dad is nuts! He somehow went from going shopping to help pick out linoleum floor for my kitchen to volunteering to tile my floor, redo my countertops, paint my cabinets/walls/appliances, and putting in a new sliding door! Go Jeeps! So stay tuned for some cool before and afters over the next few weekends. I have a horrible outdated kitchen!

I got the raise!!!!!!

God is so good! I'm at work so I'll post more later! I'm leaving early to have a celebratory margarita!!

Braden's birthday continues ...

I'm pretty sure Braden thinks his birthday lasts for a week! Ha! So here's some pictures from Rhagan's birthday party yesterday that turned into Rhagan AND Braden's birthday party! They referred to the cake as "theirs" and even sang Happy Birthday to Rhagan and Braden .... little stink! Tonight since Grammy and Jeeps didn't get to see him yesterday, we went out to dinner and had them sing to him! He is so confused! He woke up this morning and said, "Momma, let's stay home from school today for my birthday!" Great ... I fear our future!

Just had to drop a quick note to tell you guys a cute story. Braden is lying down (next to me of course because it's his birthday and I'm WEAK!) Anyway, he said he was afraid of the dark, and I told him he had to pray and God would help him not be scared anymore. So he sat straight up, put his hands together, and said, "God is great, God is good .... let us thank Him for our food. Amen!" HAHA And the best part .... he told me he wasn't scared anymore! HA! So cute.

Braden's 3rd birthday party

This year I wanted to let someone else set up and clean up so we went to Owasso's Putt n Jump Party Place. The kids had so much fun. We had a big room full of blow ups all to ourselves. Thank you everyone for coming and making this day so special for Braden! Tuesday will be his real birthday. I've taken the day off work to take him to the water park, so come back for pictures!

Braden got an early birthday present today from Grammy and Jeeps. It took a little while to put up even though the box said it would take an hour! Kara and Connor came over to break it in! Sorry the video is sideways ... I can't figure it out!

Happy 4th of July!

So our 4th was spent laying low most of the day. I didn't feel good, and Braden let me sleep most of the day away. We went out to the river and got the most amazing spot to see the show .... right by the water. About 10 minutes into the show, the platform caught fire and the entire thing exploded! You can see where the fire started in the video that I posted. I didn't get the explosion because I was too busy freaking out!

water park

I had today off work, so Braden and I headed to Muscogee, Oklahoma to their awesome water park. We went with Christi and Makayla and met up with Phyllis, Rob, Rhagan, and Addison. The kids had so much fun! However, we got a little pink! I swear we wore sunscreen! I even re-applied which I NEVER do! I used 70 spf, but I think the Walgreens brand is lacking the ingredient that screens sun!

My baby brother turns 18

So I can remember 18 years ago today when my Aunt Judy came in and woke me up to tell me that I had a baby brother. I cried. I was MAD! I was mad that they didn't wake me up to go, and I was even more mad that it wasn't a girl! I was pretty upset about it until I got to hold him. I wouldn't let anyone else hold him and I cried when my grandma made me leave the hospital. He was MY baby. I was 8 1/2, and I thought I was a big girl. I remember getting in trouble for getting up out of the recliner with him and walking into the other room. I thought my mom was going to kill me! I read stories to him every night, and when he was about Braden's age, I dressed him up like a girl, a baby, and a rockstar and took pictures of him. (Yes, I still have said photos for blackmail in the future!) It's hard to believe that was 18 years ago, and I know have my own little boy to watch grow up. I wish I would have been closer to Weston growing up because he is a great kid, and if we'd been closer in age he would have been a great influence for me to have in my life. Oh well. Everything happens for a reason! We are close now. I love you, bub. Here's to many more ...

His girlfriend Shelby arranged a surprise birthday party for him tonight .... a princess themed party of course! Braden had fun!




oh yeah ... this is how Lucy thanked us for leaving her for the party. I think she got upset when I came to play for only a second and then we left her for 3 hours. She ate Braden's booster seat! It was in thousands of tiny pieces!
