Haircuts for the boys

So today, Braden and Ethan got haircuts. It was Ethan's first haircut, and Braden was very supportive! After haircuts, we all went to Walmart to find the really cool cars/track that the haircut place had. We found them! They are really cool (and on clearance!) Ethan was falling out of the cart, and Braden helped him sit up like a big boy! After Walmart, we took lunch to Josh at the hospital. Braden was such a big boy today, and his behavior has dramatically changed over the past 48 hours! Thank God! For those of you who didn't know, he has had an emotional time adjusting to some changes in our lives lately. He was really acting out at daycare, but that is improving too. Today was such a good day! He is napping now, and going for a sleep over with Ethan. Ethan will be spending all day with us tomorrow while his mom goes house shopping in Lawrence, Kansas. I'm sure by the end of the weekend I WON'T be wishing I had 2 boys!

An afternoon with the ducks

So it was so nice today after work, so Braden, Josh, and I spent a little time at the river with the ducks. This one got pretty close to Braden! He thought he had food!

double take

So I just realized after I posted that picture that I had one from our July trip to Destin .... same boys, different bike trailers! Ethan's changed a bit .... Braden is his same ol' ornery self!

Sunday night blogging ....

So here's a few pictures from our weekend. Debbie and Ethan are in town for 2 months, so we try to get the boys together some ..... here they are on our 4 mile walk around the lake tonight. My legs hurt! Ha! And when we got out of the bathtub, I turned around and saw Braden had picked up the toilet seat, and was peeing like a big boy all by himself! Yay! There's also a couple of pictures from Will's birthday party yesterday at Bounce U, a fun jumpy place! I got a workout that I was not prepared for at all! Oh, and Josh got to meet the parents last night .... no pictures of that! Not to worry, if he can put up with us, no one could scare him away! Hope everyone has a good week!

Infected!

Does this face say it all? Braden had an "owee" on his arm that turned out to be a nasty infection! Dr Josh tried to make it feel better with Braden's Jr doctor bag ..... it didn't work. We had it drained and cultured today at the Dr's office and started some antibiotics. We will find out in a couple of days what it was, but he's already feeling much better!
Honestly, it didn't really hurt him that much ..... this picture was his foul mood on Sunday!

We're so glad medical school has finally paid off, Josh!

Valentines' Day 2009

Since this is the first time in a while I didn't boycott Valentines' Day, I thought I'd share ..... Yep, that's my Valentine
He cooked me an amazing dinner ... lamb (cooked 2 different ways), potatoe/leak soup that was SOOOO good, and this beautiful salad with pears, cheese, walnuts ...... BACK OFF, ladies .... he's all mine!

I wish this picture was scratch and sniff ..... you wouldn't believe how great the smell was in that kitchen!

Killer tongs .....

Poor guy was so tired he could hardly keep his eyes open! He did all this after being at work for 12 hours, and turned around and did it again today!

2nd Annual 80s Prom

Ok so it took longer to do my hair than we actually stayed (Josh had to work at 6 this morning!), but I had a blast dressing up! I can hardly breath today because I think I have hairspray poisoning! No wonder our ozone is in trouble .... blame the 80s hair!

Yes, Josh is wearing pleather

My favorite boys

So I figured if I could bring my child into the relationship, I should be able to bring my blogger friends into it too! I know it's early, but he's just so great! I wish you could all meet him. So now if I get my heart broken, you guys all get your little blogging hearts broken too ..... so there! HA!
Anyway, aren't they adorable. I just had to share.

Kami moves out

Yep, it's happened again. Grammy and Jeeps again have full custody of Kami. Although I've come into my house the past couple of nights and tried let her out of her kennel that is clearly not there anymore, I really think she's happier at their house. She gets to sit in Grammy's lap (see picture) well, pretty much all day in the office, and she rarely spends time in her kennel. She was in that stupid smelly box 10 hours a day at my house. Braden hasn't really asked why she isn't here, so I think this was a good time to make the change.

Connor's 2nd birthday

So after Braden figured out that it wasn't HIS birthday, he had a pretty good time! There was 5 2 year olds there, so I didn't stay too long! Ha!
3 hours after we got home, Braden was still wearing this hat!

Purple Glaze

So Josh and I broke away from our lives Wednesday to get a little creative. We went to Purple Glaze Studio to paint some pottery. Josh is extremely artistic, while I just made a mess! The junior apron that earned us the junior discount

I made a mozaic frame

my frame before I made a mess of it

No worries ..... there were signs everywhere telling us all the paint was non toxic

Look at our mess!

Josh's artwork took so long that I had time to paint a mug too!

Told you he was talented

Not sure ...

grouting my frame is messy!

Josh's artwork being put to good use .... yes, he cooks too! He cooks stuff that I can't even pronounce, but it was delicious!

Josh - you've got something on your face
