Braden .... meet dinner!

So Debbie went to .... well, somewhere on the coast this weekend! (Road Island?) Anyway, she brought back a live lobster, and we got to watch it's final moments. Braden was terrified of it at first, but finally worked up enough courage to pet it. We then watched it .... well, die. The dumb thing didn't even try to save itself, so I don't feel sorry for him at all. I didn't get to taste the outcome because they eat so late over there, but I'm sure it was delightful.

Welcome to soccer momdome!

Today, Debbie and I took the boys to open house at SoccerCity in Tulsa. It's an indoor soccer center that offers weekly classes for little guys. I've really wanted to do this with him for a while, and though we really can't afford it ... we're doing it anyway! Ha! I figured with all the call I've taken lately, why not! Braden had so much fun, and really seems to be pretty talented! He kicked the ball from one end of the field to the other and kicked it in the goal! He played with the bunny for a while, jumped on the jupiter jump, got a balloon animal, and even got his face painted. I was on call so we had to drag Debbie and Ethan along, but I think they might have had a good time too! Braden starts his classes this week (Tuesday nights until midJune) so I'm sure we'll keep everyone updated on his progess.

I am so blessed

So I had to share some recent photos of my two favorite boys. I've been on call a lot this week so it's been hard to blog! I even tried the iblog on the iphone, and well .... as you can see from my previous post and lack of photo attachment ..... well, we're just going to have to stick with the computer for a while untill they work out some kinks! Anyway, I just want to show you guys what's on my mind .... these two boys ... aren't they cute?!

Patio Days

Yesterday it was 87 degrees when Josh got off work, so we ventured out to a great little mexican place called Cafe Ole on Brookside with the Barton's for dinner on the patio. It was great until it started raining! Ha! We had so much fun! They were voted Tulsa's best margarita .... it wasn't, but it was good! You can't fool me!

A weekend without Braden

So right now I am at work ...... again. I got called in once yesterday, and now once today. I've been here for more than 3 hours now, and I'm pretty hungry. I had just gotten Braden back from his Auntie and was headed to Grammy's when my pager went off. Ugh! Braden had to get onto me for saying a bad word! oops! Anyway, so here I sit NOT spending time with my son for the third day, but I am making money so I shouldn't complain. I'm so bored that I just had to share my weekend with you people! Hope everyone is having more fun than I am right now! Oh, I did get to spend a childless day yesterday with Debbie. That was fun!

Today, Braden got a special surprise in the mail from his Aunt Judy in Texas. She made him an awesome pillow case with his name on it. He loves it! Thank you, Aunt Judy! We love you!

I downloaded an iPhone app for my blog .... They really do have an app for everything! This way I can cancel my Internet and just use my phone. So be prepared for blogging on the spot! Hope this works!

Loving the weather: Day 1

So today is the first of, hopefully several, nice days! It was so beautiful that Phyllis and I took off early to take the kids to the park. Ok, we had lunch and went bumming around utica square first! We fed the ducks until the geese got angry and attacked the kids! Braden and Rhagan got bit! Those things are CRAZY! After the attacks, we played on the playground for a bit. Braden is getting a little more brave in his old age! Even preggo Phyllis went down the slide a few times! I tried to catch her on film a few times, and this is as close as I got with the iPhone delay! Hope everyone is enjoying the weather. Tomorrow, we'll probably go to the park again, and we plan to get the bike out this weekend!

My baby is back!

So it may be short-lived, but my Braden loves me again! I had Ethan all day today (still do!) and I have to say .... having 2 isn't all that bad! Don't worry! I'm not getting any ideas! Braden has been in such a great mood all weekend, and I hope it stays that way! I can't remember if I mentioned this last time, but I had a teacher/parent conference Thursday, and his teacher says he is so smart. He knows several letters, his left from his right (he's left handed), and he tries to write his name. She also said that he is her little helper with one of the kids in the class that is a little developmentally behind. He has such a caring heart. Josh has really been encouraging me to learn more about my child. He is so enthusiastic about learning about two-year old behavior and dicipline styles .... it's encouraged me to do the same. I've been giving Braden more choices and less ..... well, yelling! We are doing so great. Well, gotta go ... Ethan and Braden want in my lap! This is how snuggly my baby has been ALL weekend! I love it!
