life lesson in a tampon box

so Braden learned his first hard life lesson this weekend. Our sweet pet hamster, Jullian went to hamster heaven on Saturday, and we had a funeral for him. I found the smallest box I had ... haha! Braden seemed to be fine until the dirt covered Jullian ... then it all made sense. We held each other and cried over the dirt pile for what seemed like forever. So sad ...

So we replaced him with "Smoky" ... he sucks. He's mean, and nothing like our sweet Jullian. We're taking him back the first chance we get. If I can't find one like Jullian, I don't want another one!

We WON!

.... Well, not yet .... but we will! See, I already have tickets to see Bon Jovi on April 13th because I loooooooove him and I had tickets the minute they went on sale, but when I heard about this contest on the radio I just couldn't resist. They wanted videos of people singing to their songs on the radio station. Well, I had an adorable video of Braden singing to "You Give Love a Bad Name" Remember? If you don't ... go down to July of last year on the blog ... It was so stinkin' cute. Well, the only problem there was that it had to have proof that you were listening to 106.1 on the video. I know what you're thinking ... and I did. I tried to cheat and mix two videos together, but my Mac is smarter than I give it credit for, and I just couldn't make it happen. So we went for a redo, and this is what we came up with!

Well, guess what! We are a finalist! They picked 5 finalists! So go vote! We have until April 12th at 5pm and the voting starts at midnight tonight (so Wednesday April 7th - Monday April 12th).

Why do I do this to myself?

Glass of red wine in my hand ... laptop warming my legs ... and 16 year olds having babies. I can't stop watching and CRYING!! It's midnight! What's wrong with me? My heart just goes out to these girls ... I mean, I was in no way, shape, or form ready for Braden, but these girls make me look like Mother Goose!

Ugh .... must get more wine ....

All good things must come to an end

Well, this is the end of our Spring Break .... =(

I saw the Black Eyed Peas last night. Yeah I was in the nose bleeds ... but I was there! I had a horrible headache, so I'm kinda glad I wasn't sitting with Kara in the "fun" section where I had to dance and have a good time! Ha! It was still a great show from senior citizens section!

It wouldn't be Oklahoma spring without some snow ... here's my patio about to collapse ...

And here's my maintenance crew finishing up some projects! We got new paint and new ceiling fans ...

Drive-through safari

We stopped just outside San Antonio at a drive-through safari, and got to feed all kinds of animals. It was AWESOME! Braden says this was his favorite thing about the trip!

So today was day 2 at Sea World, and my patience was a little less! We watched a couple of our favorite shows again, and made Becky ride the roller coaster! Then it was on to the RiverWalk ...

Braden getting saltwater in his eyes at the dolphins tank (ouch!) He said Lawson did it, and I didn't believe him ... guess I should have surveyed the Kodak evidence! Ha

Today we decided to sit in the second row at the Shamu show ... you only live once right? Well everyone around us was SOAKED except for us! Becky and I decided we've been livin' right! It was WAY better close up! This isn't even a zoomed picture! I didn't get too many shots though because I was terrified to ruin my new camera!

Having some lunch

This is the view from the hotel that Jeeps got us on the river ... it's really nice! We decided to walk down to the Riverwalk for dinner, and then we found out it was a 20 minute walk. It wasn't too bad because it's beautiful outside, and it the view is just unreal. We were virtually alone on our walk too! After dinner, I opted for a cab ride because I'm scared of the dark when I'm alone. Well worth the $5!
