the last day the playroom shared with the kitchenAfter ANOTHER bad day today, I was really just frustrated and trying not to deal with it. I was texting my friend Sarah, and again ended up indirectly seeking her advice. I think I really look up to her! So she said that maybe I could just sit in the dark and listen to him ... and ask him what he likes and doesn't like about school .... well, I laughed alot, learned very little, and thought you guys would get a kick out of it too! Sorry the punctuation is bad .... he takes no pauses! He went to bed HAPPILY with no fight and we decided 15 minute "Mommy Time" would be a new routine for us ... we are in need of a better routine.
-Braden, what do you like?
I like tomatoes I don’t like squash
-Do you like school?
yeah
-Do you like your friends?
not Allie
-You don’t like Allie?
Yeah ... I love Allie ... and Bodie, and Brendon, and Grant too!
-Are you looking forward to school tomorrow?
Yeah (very excited face) I like giraffes ... they have tall necks and they eat leaves on the big trees there’s big trees on the playground outside when i play with my friends and they go “Roooooar” like this and they paint my classroom like my other classroom
-Do you miss Ms Kari
yeah she is not at school she’s at home ... her paint her house
-what color
red and yellow and blue and ... red i think
-I think she is there and she is teaching the babies now
yeah her teaches in the baby room
-What do you NOT like at school
I lay down at nap and I want to play with table toys but my teacher says no
-Do you close your eyes and sleep?
I close my eyes and the monster comes and he has claws and they are sharp and he bite me
-Next time show Ms Lisa how we pray at home when we are scared (I made him close his eyes and say, “Dear God, help me to not be scared.” And then God will make the monster go away because he is bigger than the monster. Monsters aren’t real, but God is
So God is real ... is he coming here?
-He is already here ... He is in Momma’s heart
(with a look of disgust) You swallowed God, Momma?!

Ugh .... and yes, we caught another flipping mole! Icky!
