Great way to kick off the summer

For not really going anywhere, we had a blast this weekend! We started by swimming a little Friday night and my favorite Los Cabos with our friends, the Turners. Saturday, we had a ridiculous garage sale (though I used the money for a new dishwasher - YAY!) then we headed back to the pool with the Turners, followed by a cameo at the 2nd annual Peace family crawfish boil. Yummy! Braden carried around a live one for about 2 hours until he took his last breath. Weirdo ... anyway, it was fun. We love pretending like we are part of their family! I love the Peace's. Sunday, we stayed in the backyard all day long with a blow up pool, a slip n slide, and a crazy sprinkler. I napped with a relaxing misting sprayer on me so long that I am a little crispy! Today, our friends Jacob and Heather joined us. Jacob is Braden's best friend from school. He was so excited that he came to visit him at his house! We played outside all day long and then went to a cookout with our friends the McCains. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it!
I DO NOT want to go back to work. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!

Braden and Rhagan, the pirates!

ARRRRR! "Robbie" made the kids some eye patches! We're so glad the Peaces adopted us. Don't think I didn't write down the date that you guys agreed to it!

Happy Mothers' Day!!!

To all our favorite blogging mommies ... Happy Mothers' Day! We didn't do much, as usual. Braden and I went to church this morning, lunch at Panera, a nap (for me of course), and then dinner at Grammy and Jeeps with my favorite creme brulee! yumm! He's really been a challenge lately, so it was nice to have a day to be forced to remember why I love him so much! ;) Here's some pictures taken lately .... enjoy

This is a pic from Nurses' Day at work. I was in charge of the decorations this year for our luncheon, and we chose a Luau theme. So much fun!
My pretty little Braden

Holding on for dear life

I ran the Full Moon race last night with a few friends. I haven't run in months, and I thought for sure I would die on the side of the road! I didn't! I did it 3 minutes slower than when I was training, but oh well! I finished!
Here's Becky, Deanna, Kari, and me before the race ...

Not a public speaker

So I had to give a huge presentation to a group of nurses on Wednesday ... TWICE! All together, I think we had just under 100 nurses. I was so nervous. I hated it! I am so glad it's over! Here's some fun pictures though ...

Here she is texting. Yep, I trained her well.

Spring has Sprung!

I was about to start a whole blog just about watching my new obsession ... these robin eggs. That's when a squirrel ate them. I'm totally bummed. Oh well. And here's day 1 of this year's garden. I can't wait to start cooking some squash! The tomatoes better do better this year!

An Arkansas girls' night

Here ya go, Shelly! Ha! Since you are one of the only people that really reads my blog, I had to honor your wishes and post a couple pics. For the other 1 or 2 of you ... this is Shelly! We went out in Fayetteville last weekend with like 20 girls, and I had a blast! Braden got to spend the night at a hotel with his Auntie, Uncle Tom, Bailey, and little Miss Hadley, while we girls partied it up! It was fun, but we aren't 21 anymore. Staying out all night is definitely not an every weekend thing! Thanks Shelly for making me want to move to Arkansas - love you!

We actually ate at this place at 3 in the morning where there was no sink in the bathroom!

Rainy weekend

It rained all weekend, so it was a perfect time to pick up the TONS of toys one of the doctors I work with had set aside for Braden. We spent all weekend cleaning out the playroom, and sorting through 8 trash bags full of GI Joes, remote control cars, and nerf guns.

We also traded in our devil rodent! This is our new "Smokey" He's much nicer! When we walked into the pet store with the mean one, Braden told the lady that he "eats people." HA!
