Welcome, Marley!
So I know some of you may remember my short-lived dream to rescue a lab from lab rescue last year. I was talked out of it by my mother (thank goodness!) Braden and I are just on the the go too much in Tulsa to have a dog in Claremore. So ...... the next best thing is to talk the boyfriend into it! Ha! Actually, he was considering getting a dog anyway, I just kinda nudged him a bit. Ok, a lot! Sorry, Josh. I'll have to be gently reminded from time to time that she is not MY dog. Anyway, we all fell in love with sweet little Merlot yesterday. Merlot's name is now Marley, and Josh is on his way right now to meet her foster mom and take the little girl home! Yay! I can't wait to take her out and play! We walked her around PetsMart yesterday for a bit, and for a baby she is very mature. She follows commands, and is really sweet and meek. She doesn't act at all like a puppy, her foster mom says. That's easy to believe by watching her interact with Braden and the other dogs ... she is very well behaved to be under a year old! Anyway, untill I get the chance to spend some time with her ..... here's some pictures. This is her mugshot from the labrescue website. Stay tuned .....

Marley aka Merlot, is adorable!! Congrats!...uh, to Josh! Ha ha! I actually just got back from the dog park in Tulsa! There were a handful of black labs out today! I'm sure you will all enjoy her very much!!
oh she's precious! there's not many things better than seeing their little faces light up when they find a home. just ask maysie-our weimeraner! ha ha

Haha ... Shelly, no thanks on the bows! I was thinking more along the lines of a baby girl sometime in the next decade! ha Anyway, she's on her way over so I'll post more pictures later. He's trying to change his mind on the name Marley, but I love it so I've got some damage control to do tonight! And Karmen ..... tell me about this dog park! I'm off all week, and I want to take her! Also, your crazy-ass blog won't let me comment on it .... what's up with that?!
Hey- I don't know why it won't let you comment!? All my comments have been from followers - maybe you have to sign in or something!! The dog park is on Charles Page Blvd... I don't know much about the area - but we have never had any problems there!! Google Tulsa bark park or there is a link to the site on my blog - under the blogs I follow! We went today for about an hour and there were about 15 other dogs out there! Oh - don't ask Pagel about it!! Ha ha, he thinks it's sketchy... Ha ha! I wish they would build one in Owasso! They have plans to open another one soon! Name vote: Sophie *rocks*
